No Internet Connection – Basic Troubleshooting Steps

Overview

If your computer does not have internet access, the issue is often resolved with a few quick steps.


Issue

You may notice:

  • “No Internet” message
  • Outlook not updating
  • Websites not loading
  • Phone showing “No Ethernet Connection”

Troubleshooting / Steps

  1. Check that your network cable is securely connected.
  2. Restart your docking station (if applicable).
  3. Restart your computer completely (not just sign out).
  4. If using Wi-Fi, verify that Wi-Fi is turned on and connected to the correct network.

After restarting, allow 2–3 minutes for the network to reconnect. You should notice a Wi-Fi signal or an ethernet connection as seen below.
